Longday Care

Circle of FriendsAt Circle of Friends Child Care Centre we provide a nurturing environment with programs that are developmentally appropriate and enable children to learn, grow and live creatively. We recognise the importance of the parental role and our primary focus is on the individual child within the context of his/her family. We endeavour to provide as wide a selection of developmentally appropriate materials and resources as possible and children are encouraged to participate in all areas of the program.

Our Program

We have developed and based our programming on the ‘Early Years Learning Framework’ which is the first official National Quality framework developed for the Early Years. It aims to raise quality and drive continuous improvement and consistency in child care services.

At Circle of Friends

  • We ensure the safety, health and wellbeing of each child.
  • Our  staff help improve educational and developmental outcomes for all children.
  • We help to extend and enrich children’s learning from birth to five years and through the transition to school.
  • We offer the program that caters for unstructured play, planned learning activities, song, dance and story time. All age groups have a literacy focus as this is such an integral part of early year’s development.

Program Emphasis

  • To encourage group and individual play sessions.
  • To provide sensory stimulation for intellectual development.
  • To encourage cooperative learning and play through peer group and social interaction.
  • To provide learning opportunities through physical and outdoor activity.
  • To provide learning activities for creative expression.

The Menu

The centre provides each child with a nutritional daily menu, including morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and late snack. This is served in accordance with the local government and WA Health Standards ensuring each child is provided with 50% of their daily nutritional needs. Drinking water is available to the children all day. Special dietary needs are always taken into consideration. Meals provided are varied and multicultural to expose children to the wonderful tastes and textures from around the world.
